...for those of you who have noticed...i've posted some new stuff. this is what i've been doing over the past 6-8 weeks....tie-dying. it's fun and simple and not too hard work (although some of the tying..sheesh...) so yeah. that's all i've got to say. being a working schmoe kinda sucks...

Belated Update

I know it's been ages since I posted anything here, the last thing being my halfass review of Andy Warhol at GOMA, however... this is not through laziness on my part. No, I joined the world of working stiffs and now have no spare time with which to scratch myself, let alone paint or draw. I have tried to find time, but this is damn near impossible (job is in a call centre), and most of what I have done is just the odd doodle or two while taking calls (which isn't as easy as it sounds.) There was even an art comp going at work, and I didn't even enter it... had no inspiration... which sounds odd for my style of art... but eh.. Truly I don't

Before it was too late, I decided to go and see the Andy Warhol retrospective at the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane. The entire ground floor was taken up with the exhibition, and it was very well put together. Some of his more famous works (soup cans and the Marilyns) were on show, as well as some sketches, photographs, films and a couple of the "time capsules" he would put together. (For those who don't know, Andy used to keep boxes in his studio and throw odds and ends into them, and when they became full, he would seal them. This means that any one box would have letters, photographs, newspaper articles, playbills, posters, confectionery
